NASA Launches Rocket to the Moon





(The Daily News) NASA has successfully launched the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite, or LCROSS, on a mission to search for water ice in a permanently shadowed crater at the south pole of the moon. The satellite lifted off on an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Thursday. The purpose of the mission is to explore the best place to build the first colony on the moon.
