Pilot Dies on Plane Carrying 250 People

(The Daily News) The pilot of a Boeing 777 carrying 250 passengers died while the Continental Airlines plane was in flight. The controls of the plane were assumed by the copilot and a relief pilot. They asked over the intercom for a doctor but didn't say why. A doctor came forward and pronounced the pilot dead after examining him. Passengers didn't know the pilot had died until after the plane landed in Newark, New Jersey.
